DVH Rare Gobi Agate Witch Finger Agate Bead Pendant 85x15x19mm (6351)

I hand-selected this rare Gobi Agate “Witch Finger” formation on my annual Tucson trip and carefully drilled it to create a truly unusual focal bead pendant. These naturally elongated agates formed in the deserts of Mongolia and are highly prized by collectors for their distinctive shapes and desert-polished surfaces. In over 50 years of working with stones, I had never encountered agates that formed quite like these.

Each piece is a genuine Gobi Desert agate, heat-treated for color enhancement but otherwise left in its natural, organic form. I have not carved or reshaped them—what you see is the result of geology and time. I simply cleaned, finished, and drilled the specimen with a 2.5mm hole so it can be worn or incorporated into your own design. CHAIN NOT INCLUDED.

Often referred to as “Witch Finger” agates due to their slender, tapered formation, these stones carry an unmistakable presence—part relic, part talisman. They feel ancient because they are: shaped by desert winds, sand, and vast stretches of time.

Metaphysically, agate is traditionally associated with grounding, protection, and steady strength. Desert agates in particular are said to carry the resilient energy of harsh landscapes—encouraging endurance, clarity, and independence. The elongated “finger” form has been interpreted by some as a symbol of direction, focus, and intentional will—pointing the way forward.

These are rare and unusual centerpiece beads—natural works of art shaped by geology, simply made wearable by my hand. Each one is completely one of a kind.
