DVH Cinnabar in Opal Heart Pendant Idaho Sterling Bail 48x44x7mm PRIVATE COLLECTION (5595)

I hand cut this freeform heart pendant. Measurements in the title. A freeform heart shape with a polished finish. Sterling silver bail will fit most chains.  CHAIN NOT INCLUDED.  A beautiful and unusual stone. The pink is made up of cinnabar inclusions and the white is a hard, jasper like, opalite matrix. The material I cut this from is a very rare lapidary material that was dug in the 4th of July Canyon in Idaho decades ago. There was so little of it that it didn't really get a trade name.  I got a few slabs of it some 25 years ago and I made this one from my very last piece of it!

Items labeled PRIVATE COLLECTION are things I made and decided I wanted to keep. They are stored at my home and I wear them semi-regularly. I wanted to show them off to a wider audience and I know that someday I will let them go!
