DVH Tennessee Coal Heart Bead Pendant American Shungite 42x33x13mm (4937)
I hand cut this focal bead out of genuine bituminous coal from Tennessee. Measurements in the title. 2.5mm drill hole. CHAIN NOT INCLUDED. It is a 40+/- million year old fossil fuel jewel. I work in a variety of natural jet from around the world but most of it is from Russia or Tennessee as well as specimen grade Tennessee coal like this. Jet is a kind of gem grade coal that has been used in beads and jewelry for over 15,000 years. It reached its biggest popularity during Victorian times as traditional mourning jewelry. For this reason it is still associated metaphysically with alleviating grief and depression. It is also said to help with financial stability and increase abundance.
Shungite is just a trade name for a variety of coal from a specific region of Russia and has no mineralogical meaning. This is mined in America and Made in the USA! This is a true fossil fuel jewel. While the "energy" of other crystals and stones can't really be measured, the energy of jet can be measured in BTU's and joules of actual energy because it's a fossil fuel jewel! In a world on fire we need to stop burning things. This coal is a talisman to help us appreciate what fossil fuels have done FOR us while we also acknowledge the grief over what they are doing TO us and all other living creatures in this world.
