Some Covellite from Alaska. I got the rough in Tucson in 2018 or 19 from an Alaskan guy who collected it from a copper mine dump there over 20 years ago. It's beautiful but so filthy to cut! See how dirty my fingers STILL are after scrubbing for 3 minuteswith a nail brush and lava soap??? LOL. I've got Covellite inlaid fingerprints. I do love that natural metallic steely blue color. Most of these sold really quickly but I might have one or two left in my store. In Tucson this year went back and saw the guy again this...
Well, gosh. I DO post on my facebook and instagram and even twitter, pinterest, and tumblr more than I have posted here. That has to change. Starting with this post! :)
New custom cut focal beads and cabs, including matched pairs, made out of contemporary #Fordite . It's the overspray from the paint booths of a Ford truck factory. These will get listed in my DVHdesigns.com store over the next few days. Message me if you would like to direct purchase and not wait for me to list them! I'm cutting new stuff all the time!
Here's the latest batch of work I've done in Fordite. All this is made from the accumulated overspray of car paint from a contemporary Ford truck assembly facility here in the United States! A great gift for any Ford truck owner or lover of recyled industrial waste. 20% OFF in my web store with coupon code THANKFUL2017 used at checkout. Tell your friends!
Here is some new work I've done with Oregon picture jaspers. They get their specific names based on the location they're found in. Top left two are Owyhee and the the top right group is Rocky Butte. Bottom left are (I think) Wild Horse and bottom right Succor Creek. I love how the images in many ways mimic the landscapes in which they're found.
