News & Commentary from DVH — bead

The newest batch!  Rough came from a contemporary Ford truck factory paint shed.  Here are pics of front, back, and the rough I used to make them. 

I'm really pleased with these lovely new, natural faced, double sided, focal bead pendants that were made by my apprentice Donovan Boertje!  They're $60 each if you private message me and buy directly.  We'll be working on more beads and cabs in this lovely material soon!  The rough material is from Namibia and I've haven't seen much of it around over the years.  I have a nice little stock of it, but when it's gone, it's gone.

While I think that our state gem, the Oregon sunstone, is perfectly lovely, they are smaller, less flashy, and much more expensive than the varieties of sunstone coming out of Tanzania these days. I'm hooked!
