I hand-cut this freeform heart bead from natural Kona Dolomite, sourced from the Kona Hills outside Marquette in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Measurements are in the title;
2.5mm drill hole. CHAIN NOT INCLUDED.

This piece is part of my Healed Broken Heart Series—celebrating stones that fractured in deep geological time and healed themselves from within. Kona Dolomite, with its warm coral pinks, tans, and rust tones, often contains ancient layers of stromatolite, one of the earliest forms of life on Earth. These billion-year-old fossils helped create the oxygen-rich atmosphere that made all later life possible. Wearing it is like carrying a quiet echo of Earth’s first heartbeat.
