This is an extraordinary and rare ceramic bead—truly a sculptural masterpiece by Seattle artist John “Beau” Bond, purchased by me at the Oregon Country Fair in the mid-1990s. It’s signed JBBOND and dated 10/91, and features incredible hand-sculpted detail: a snarling human skull crowned with dramatic ram’s horns, hand carved and cast in ceramic porcelain with a weathered, bone-like patina glaze. It’s got Krampus energy, gothic flair, and folklore charisma all wrapped into one hauntingly beautiful talisman.
