It’s believed that this ring was lost in the 1920s or 30s at the Wyre Pharmacy, a local drugstore run by my grandparents just down the street from the high school. My grandmother, who was born in Barberton in 1903, recalls the students visiting the soda fountain there during their lunch breaks. Although I can’t say for certain it belonged to my grandmother or mother, it’s a piece of local history that I’d love to see returned to someone from Barberton, The Magic City, who will appreciate its rich, almost 100-year-old heritage.
