DVH Purpurite Purple Heart Bead Pendant Namibia Iridescent 32x25x15 (3168)
I hand cut this focal bead, a freeform shape with natural face and matte finish sides/back all shimmering in iridescent purple. Measurements are shown in the listing title. 2.5mm drill hole. I made it from a small cache of genuine purpurite from Namibia that I was able to get my hands on at Tucson trade shows around 2015! I sorted through several flats and picked out all the "quality" specimens. I only ever saw the one dealer with this material and I'm glad I got some! I haven't seen any of this rough at all the last 3 years and I pretty much cleaned the dealer out last time I saw them. The material was sanded through 600 grit and then briefly acid etched to enhance the matte finish and coloring.
