DVH Native Silver Plume Ore Bead Siscoe Mine Canada 34x15x8mm (2265) - DVHdesigns

DVH Native Silver Plume Ore Bead Siscoe Mine Canada 34x15x8mm (2265)

$ 88.98

I hand cut this native silver plume ore myself. Measurements in the title with a 2mm drill hole. This is a really nice freeform shaped bead that I made out of amazingly high grade SILVER & COBALT ORE in matrix from the Siscoe Mine in Gowganda, Ontario, Canada. The silver is mixed with cobalt and other rare metal minerals in their natural form. This area is a part of the Sudbury Basin, also known as Sudbury Structure or the Sudbury Nickel Irruptive, and it is the second largest known impact crater or astrobleme on Earth, and a major geologic structure in Ontario, Canada. These metal minerals were formed when an asteroid hit the earth 1.85 BILLION years ago. This one of a kind piece has a high polish and looks great!

Because this IS a metal mineral, it will need an occasional wipe with a polishing cloth to remove oxidation & tarnish, but it is super shiny and dense metal ore with a nice weight to it! A perfect addition for the serious collector of beads or metal ores, or for the metalsmith who has an appreciation for where their medium comes from!
