DVH BumbleBee "Jasper" Calcite Big Shield Bead OOAK 57*30*12mm (5889)

$ 77.99

I hand cut this one-of-a-kind focal bead pendant from what’s commonly called Bumblebee Jasper—though it’s not actually a jasper at all! This vibrant material is a rare variety of banded calcite and sulfur-bearing minerals formed in the geothermal environment of hot springs near volcanic vents on the island of Java, Indonesia.

Measurements are shown in the listing title (in millimeters), and the bead features a 2.5mm side-drilled hole to accommodate most cords and chains. CHAIN NOT INCLUDED.

The bold yellow, orange, and black patterns are completely natural—created by a cocktail of volcanic minerals, including sulfur (which gives it that bright lemon hue), hematite, and other compounds. It’s a dazzling example of the Earth painting in her wildest palette.

This piece is from my personal stash of Bumblebee material, collected over a decade ago. It's increasingly rare due to the difficulty of mining it safely—both for humans and the environment. I don't cut many of these anymore, so this is a special offering.

Metaphysically, Bumblebee "Jasper" is often associated with vitality, inspiration, and transformation. Sulfur, one of its key components, is believed to help release negative willfulness, spark creative breakthroughs, and melt the internal blocks that keep us stuck. It’s said to align energies from the four directions, bridging the power of Mother Earth and Father Sky.

Let this bead remind you of volcanoes and hot springs, eruption and renewal—the power of nature in both its chaos and beauty.
